I know it’s the opposite of what most people consider good weather, they like it bright and sunny. But when it’s cloudy, I don’t have to worry as much about putting my car in the shade and putting the windshield screen.
I learned my lesson from my last car I kept in the sun all the time. The clear coat got oxidized on the left fender as well as a little of the roof. Not to mention the faded rear head rests and dry rotted tires. Wherever the sun stayed the most, that’s where parts on the car got faded. But that car was like 17 years old though (garage kept) and I had it for 4 years and parked outside.
Keeping it out of direct sunlight makes a considerable difference over time, though. Look at cars from cloudy places and compare them to the cars of sunny places. Yep. The ones in cloudy places look like they belong in a museum. Since I share the garage, I garage my car mostly during the summer, but keep it outside for the spring, fall and winter, since it tends to be cloudier near Chicago during those times and the sun isn’t as intense (and parking outside is better during the winter, as the colder temps slow down any corrosion from rock salt). Reason being, the summer sun can be brutal out here. Not my car pictured, btw.
Plus I’m brown, so I don’t have to worry about paleness lol

We get something like 350 days of sunshine, so anytime it's cloudy is a good day.

I grew up where it was always cloudy and / or rainy and often snowey, sometime all at the same time... I got fed up with it and moved somewhere where its always sunny (not Philly), never cloudy, rains 11 days per year, and never snows (except once every 30 years or so).
So short answer, yes, I embrace the days where its cloudy, grey and cool, even the rain makes me happy now.

In Finland we don’t have a problem with excessive sunlight. In the summer of 2014 we had exceptionally long period of hot days. The heat wave lasted 4 weeks and I had problems sleeping during the night. Still our heat wave doesn’t really compete with a proper heat wave that you can find in Central Europe. Here most normal households don’t have air conditioning.
I like sunny days but I hate getting tanned as I get “t-shirt tan” really easily.

I love cloudy days. They’re more “cozy” to me, if that makes sense. Plus the heat and humidity are a little less unbearable.
